FIFA Club World Cup Draw: Inviting 4 African Coaches

Updated: May 22

Mundial de Clubes FIFA better known as FIFA Club World Cup will be taking place in 2025. 32 of the world's best clubs will be competing to see which one is the best in the world. We will be getting a full month of great football from June 15th, to July 15th 2025, a full month of club World Cup football.

The draw for this competition will be taking place next month in the USA. The head coaches and representatives of each club that has qualified will be there. The best coaches who have qualified for the prestigious competition from Africa have also been invited to this ceremony.

Marcel Koller Al Ahly's head coach, Miguel Cordos leading the charge for ES Tunis, Rhulani Mokwena Hloae with his tactical genius at Mamelodi Sundowns, and the experienced Faouzi Benzarti who is at the wheel of Wydad will all be at this ceremony.

What does this mean for African football?

The draw will be held right in the heart of the host nation, the United States. This creates a unique atmosphere for the event.  Invited coaches and management from the participating teams will get to witness the draw unfold live. This personal touch adds to the anticipation of who they might face in the competition.

As the draw is being held in the US and the competition will be hosted in the USA the coaches and representatives tour the stadiums that will host the prestigious Club World Cup matches. This experience gives them a chance to strategize and envision their teams playing on those fields.

Potential FIFA Club World Cup Opportunity

FIFA Club World Cup

For African coaches, this ceremony is not just about finding out their opponents. It is a chance to stand side by side with the modern legends of the game, coaches like Pep Guardiola who have shaped the way football is played and analyzed today. It is a recognition of their own achievements, a moment to be seen as equals on the global stage.

This ceremony will also serve as a ground to forge connections for the African coaches. African coaches will have a chance to share tactical knowledge and get new perspectives when they engage with greats like Ancelotti. They can share experiences, discuss strategies, and maybe even plant the seeds for future collaborations.

But the benefit will go both ways, established coaches can also get insights from their counterparts from Africa. African football is known for its raw talent, its incredible athleticism, and its unique tactical approaches. These African coaches can give insights and perspectives that might even inspire the established coaches like Guardiola.

The draw ceremony is just a single event, but it has the potential to be a medium for something much bigger. This might be the chance for African coaches to be seen, to be heard, and to forge connections that could change the landscape of football forever.

As we await for the draw that will be held next, we cannot wait and see how teams will face each other. We also cannot wait to see what will happen at the event.

Stay tuned for more!
